Perspective and Scale

Scale (attempted...)

Scale (attempted...)

With this photoshoot, I tried to capture things from a different point of view, or perspective.  I also tried to play with scale in the photographs; make things appear bigger or smaller than what they really are.  I struggled with this half of the assignment.  In the first scale picture, the item looks larger, but you can tell it's just because of the camera's lens.  I haven't quite figured out how to make it really look different than it is.  In the second scale picture, I tried to play with the wings in the figure, to make it look like the right wing was much larger and noticeable than the left wing, but again, you can tell it's just the angle of the camera.  This is something I will have to continue working on to improve.

The light shines from the inside out

Isn't it amazing how

you could be running for years

and end up in the same place you started;

satisfied?

Hey!  I'm Becky, and this is my senior year at UWM, majoring in psychology.  I took this picture of the art museum two years ago.  I like this picture because I like the angle and the way the light fades in the sky.  I think it gives and interesting perspective and a different take on the building.  I've been interested in photography since I was young, because my dad has always been a great photographer and I always admired his passion and abilities.
